More about June
I love spending time with my girlfriends. I enjoy baking and making creations that seem a bit weird. For over 20 years I have been involved with Girls Brigade Qld and love the opportunities it gives me to mentor young girls to become positive role models in their schools and communities. My guilty pleasure is watching reality tv shows with my daughters and yes we roll our eyes a lot.
Having experienced working with a great counsellor to help me through my own complex trauma I felt compelled to use my skills and experience in this area
I decided to study counselling at uni part time whilst working part time (as a School Chaplain), looking after my 3 children and supporting my husband in his work.
My passion is to see people become the best version of themselves. To be comfortable with who they are and know how valuable they are
I am a counsellor providing individual counselling to adults, adolescents and children. I offer deep listening and thoughtful collaboration to help you bring clarity and insight to the things in your life that you would like to change.
Counselling allows you to explore your emotions, thoughts and behaviour and assists you to become more aware of yourself, your values and what motivates you.
I strive to bear witness to your experiences, see the world through your eyes, and help you move toward being the person you want to be. I work with the day to day challenges of bringing optimal functioning, wellness and wisdom to your life, as well as with crises, disruptions, and transitions
My approach to counselling is collaborative and flexible. I use different counselling approaches which enables me to tailor the counselling experience for the individual to best meet your needs. While my primary orientation is person-centred, I am also comfortable working in a more structured way to address immediate and specific goals. I can also incorporate creative art therapies into individual counselling sessions. I am also conversant with mindfulness-based approaches to healing. I offer group mindfulness practice using creative arts and emotional health programs for children around stress, anxiety and anger.
My services include individual counselling for children, teens and adults, group mindfulness practice, emotional health and mind management for children and creative art journalling.
