After transitioning from a full-time career and starting up my own business, I've learned a thing or two about how to be a sole practitioner and run a small business. As a career development professional I can also advise on career transition and goal setting. I work with clients to help them understand their future goals and what steps they need to take to achieve these.

My approach is to empower you to greater self-awareness of your capabilities, strengths, personal qualities, values and career goals, through conversation and utilising some supporting tools.

I’m all about evidence – self-assessment provides the evidence to help you realise how much you have to offer. And I believe that through this personal reflection you will have enhanced self-esteem. It will also help you to understand what you bring to your career environment and what you want to get out of your career. Only then can you effectively market yourself against role/s you are targeting.

I have been privileged to develop a depth and breadth of experience, capabilities and knowledge from my career which has spanned more than 40 years in human resources, career development, adult and workplace education and management; that’s makes it possible for me to tailor the right program for you.

As well as working with individual clients, I also work with organisations delivering facilitated workshops, individual career assessments, career transition (voluntary and involuntary), team building, coaching, mentoring and training.

I have worked extensively with people in career transition across multiple industries and professions ranging from graduates through to senior executives.

I hold several qualifications including a Master of Career Development, a Bachelor of Education (Adult and Workplace Education), a Diploma of Management and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. I hold specialist accreditations for the Myers Briggs Type Indicator®, True Colours® and a ICCP Executive Coaching Certificate (Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology) (Sydney University) as well as several others.

I am a Fellow of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) and served on the National Executive Committee for six years including National Secretary (2013-17) and General Committee Member (2011-2012).

With my strong commitment to mentoring, I have been (or am) involved in formal mentoring programs through Queensland University of Technology (QUT) (6+ years), Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and CDAA and for recent career development graduates.

In 2015 and 2016 I was nominated as Mentor of the Year in the QUT Mentoring Program and in 2016 I received a highly-commended Award from CDAA for leadership within the Association.
