6 classes $594

This is a project based course and designed for people who already have some basic skills. The aim is to learn by doing. The course runs for six weeks and starts from the date you select. Each class is 3 hours long and continues every week on the same day, at the same time.

As a guide - a coffee table, a bedside table or small set of shelves is the scale of project that could be completed in the time available.

In the first class we will work on your project to see how it can be done and what materials you will need. Then work through what skills you may need to acquire in order to complete it. We will also develop a materials list and guide you to appropriate suppliers.

From the second week you will commence work on your project.

The class is limited to two students and the tutor will be present the whole time. The major purpose of the class is to develop skills and knowledge at the same time as completing your project. You will find that you also learn a lot from the other student and the way they go about their project. There will be plenty of time for discussion, demonstrations and skill development.

You will be working in a dedicated woodworking space. Students are responsible for the cost of project materials, however some glues, sandpapers and other consumables are available at no cost.
